该书从大寨农业机械化巨大发展的角度,介绍大寨大队以阶级斗争为纲,批判和抵制刘少奇、林彪和王、张、江、姚“四人帮”反革命修正主义路线,批判农业机械化问题上的各种资本主义倾向,打击阶级敌人的破坏活动,坚持农业机械化的社会主义方向;坚持依靠集体经济力量,自力更生,大搞群众运动,为实现山区农业机械化闯新路;坚持用马列主义,毛泽东思想建设一支又红又专的农机队伍,充分发挥农业集体经济,进一步巩固农村社会主义阵地的先进经验。
